I have known Wayne Nichols for over 40 years. He is intelligent and hard working.
His responsibilities and involvement in various community areas over the years have honed his skills in listening and sense of compassion.
He has the ability to work with a variety of inputs to help craft a compromised solution to complex problems. He will work for all of us!
His open-mindedness and honesty are needed in our Longview City Council. Please vote for Wayne in 2025.

For those who live here in Longview. I want to make you aware of and encourage your support for Wayne Nichols who is a candidate for Longview City Council. I know Wayne well. I have discussed the issues that effects Longview and Cowlitz County. First, he is a man who is honest about what he supports and what a small town like Longview should prioritize that will help the citizens.
Wayne and I have discussed often his belief that council members should be open to public input and consideration, in a nonpartisan position. When he and I discuss what my views are about needs and directions for the future for Longview; improve infrastructure, schools and equality of funding and programs, what the city council’s role is in maintaining and improving city services, he listens. Wayne understands what is responsible city spending and funding needs for Longview.
Longview has so much beauty. From tree lined streets to parks and recreation, for instance Lake Sacajawea park and others. Wayne understands and considers what effects federal funds and grants or the lack them has on many of Longview's needs. Finally, Wayne Nichols has compassion and loyal for all citizens needs to maintain a quality of life.
Please vote Wayne Nichols to keep Longview excellent.

I support Wayne Nichols for city council because he will represent all Longview residents. Right now, the city council has a negative attitude toward so many residents, especially the poor and homeless. Wayne plans to address everyone’s concerns and his broad experience will help him do this. He’s worked with families, children, volunteers, budgets, infrastructure, and contract negotiations. We need someone with those skills to work with other council members as well as businesses. Rather than creating problems, Wayne is a problem solver.

I have known Longview City Council candidate Wayne Nichols for nearly 40 years. I am supporting him in his campaign for several reasons. First, experience matters. Wayne has had a life time of real-world experiences. He was a longtime employee of Weyerhaeuser Company operating the water filter plant and waste water facility and was an infrastructure inspector. As a union leader he has negotiated labor contracts. Secondly, he is caring and compassionate. He has served our community as a volunteer fire fighter and EMT. He has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer protecting the rights of children in domestic matters before a judge. Lastly and most importantly he is a thoughtful person who will bring real problem-solving skills to the council. It is time to quit wasting time and money on personal agendas and start addressing the real problems facing the city.

he past few years I have stayed out of the local politics, but I want to share this. Wayne Nichols is family to me. He is exactly what our community needs. He is a centrist thinker. He see's the big picture and hears the arguments of both sides. Fiscally he is more conservative, and on social matters he is broad-minded. He cares about the people of this community as well as what this community has to offer and how to continue the spirit of our community that was created so long ago as well as helping us grow economically. We need more people who are not one-sided thinkers and who are not afraid to do what is right for the entire community rather than just some of us. That's not as easy as it sounds.

Wayne Nichols is a true Centrist who will bring logic and wisdom to City Council. Retired from Weyerhaeuser, Wayne recognizes that all occupations bring gifts and talents to the table making our community viable and diverse.
